Opposites Attract

Photographed by Antwon Steer

We're back, guys! Notice anything different? A lot of things have changed with the Not So Billionaire Girls Club- including our hair colors! We're back with new and interesting ideas that we're excited to share.

We have made it through the Fall season with straight As and lots of cash in our pockets. We have both been saving up and looking for internships to send ourselves off to New York this summer for experience. For us, that means beefing up our resumes and focusing as much on the fashion industry as possible.

Throughout the semester, we have been monitoring fashion trends and runway shows to keep ourselves up to date. A brief summary of important classifications we've noticed includes: jumpsuits, calf-length skirts, maxi coats, 3/4 length sleeves, and matching separates. Notice any of these in our outfits? *wink wink*

So, with this in mind- and an American Apparel Groupon in our pockets- the two of us drove to Cary town and scoped out some cute ensembles for our shoot. We went with matching separates from American Apparel that we got for half off thanks to our Groupon!! American Apparel always has abundant amounts of basic, staple pieces that can be mixed and matched. The prices tend to be on a higher price range, but the occasional investment is well worth it.

We shot outside of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond in the frigid cold, and we were lucky to have a loyal photographer at our side- thanks Antwon! The museum had a modern, Parisian landscape that complemented our looks perfectly.

It feels good to finally get back on our feet and do a post. Now that the semester is over we plan to spend Winter break updating the blog and keeping in touch with you all. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
